FMFIndia is a registered non-profit organisation, which aims at promoting awareness, providing education and training, and encouraging research in the specialised field of Fetal Medicine within India. One of our goals is to establish a system where the benefit of good obstetric ultrasound is available to all pregnant women. It is part of FMF-UK ‘Look for Life’ Initiative started by Professor Nicolaides.

The program aims to reach smaller towns in India to help improve the standard of ultrasound scanning amongst practicing Obstetricians/Sonologists.

The program will consist of didactic lectures and live ultrasound demonstration by FMFIndia experts.The registration fee for the program is 1500 INR, to be collected by the local organizing secretary.

Requirements

The local organizing person/committee (LOC)will support with the following setup.

  • Booking of the Auditorium/Hall to accommodate minimum 30-50 delegates
  • Ist trimester patients for live demo (at least 4 between 11-13 weeks)
  • Scanning machines for live-demo, if not locally available GE would provide machines.
  • It is imperative to take PCPNDT approval from the local authority for the visiting FMFIndia faculty. The faculty will furnish the required documents. ( In case GE is to provide machine, they will need a letter from the LOC to facilitate PCPNDT approval).

The scientific programme is fixed to cover the First Trimester screening and is spread over half a Sunday 9-2pm. Please find an example as a separate attachment. We are happy to have the LOC moderate some sessions to facilitate audience interaction.

FMFIndia will pay for all the expenses incurred for catering /AV hiring in addition to providing teaching material, delegate kit, Certificate of attendance.
